Strands NYT is a word search game that is set in a 6x8 grid of letters. Players must connect letters on the board to create words that share the same theme.
When you enter the game, you will see a 6x8 grid with letters. There is a total of 48 letters.
On the left side, you will see the today's theme. Your goal is to search for a group of words that are linked by a common theme.
If you're on a PC, simply drag to connect adjacent letters and release to submit your guess. Another way is to click to select a letter and double-click on the last letter to submit.
If you're on a mobile, tap to select words and double-tap on the last letter to submit your guess.
n addition to connecting characters horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, you can also change directions in the middle of a word.
When you find a correct theme word, it will be highlighted in blue on the grid.
"Spangram" is a special word that shows players what the theme words have in common. In other words, it describes the theme of the puzzle. The spangram word touches both two opposite sides of the board.
It will be highlighted in yellow once found.
For example: the spangram of Apple, Banana, and Mango is Fruit.
You can also find non-theme words in order to receive hints. You will earn a hint for every 3 non-theme words. It will highlight the letters on one of the theme words. Remember that the non-theme words must be at least 4 letters.
